I am a recent graduate of Calvin University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing and a minor in International Relations. Liberal arts education helped me gain not only knowledge and experience in the marketing field, but also intellectual curiosity, creativity, and relational skills such as teamwork and leadership. As a 1.5-generation Korean American, I have an understanding of Asian cultures and European cultures from my semester studying abroad experience in Hungary.
I currently work as a Marketing intern for Lanio, a start-up company that provides “customized & productized services for thought leaders, established founders and startups.” In the past few months, I have applied my marketing skills to real projects and campaigns for clients such as academics, clinical psychologists, and organizations. Some of these marketing skills include: content marketing, branding, web design using WordPress, project management, etc.
Where am I from?
Kansas City, MO
Grand Rapids, MI
Memphis, TN
South Korea
My marketing philosophy can be summed up in these three phrases:
Cultivate inclusion
Marketing connects people through storytelling; I want to connect people not over surface similarities but stories of shared struggles and passions.
Drive change
I want to empower these diverse and inclusive communities to detect what changes need to be made and to take actions that benefit themselves and others.
Inspire joy
The ultimate goal of these changes is joy, and my content, media, and strategy decisions are in the service of this larger goal.
